Denise Richards he never forgets to be involved in the apparent road rage shooting incident.
Long before face her fear and past traumas Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Testformer Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the star experienced a scary situation on the road.
In November 2022 Aaron Phypers he was driving his wife to work in Los Angeles when a bullet suddenly hit the back of the cab of their truck. As they continued to drive, the gunman allegedly followed them and eventually blocked their vehicle.
“It wasn’t like we were cut off. All of a sudden this guy was following us,” Richards, 53, said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s. Jeff Lewis live in February 2023. “He was a little aggressive and Aaron tried to jump, he stopped and (the shooter) stopped.”
Phypers, 52, rolled down his window to confront the man, according to Richards.
“He threw his hands up and said, ‘I don’t know what’s upsetting you. I’m just trying to take my wife to work,'” Richards recalled.
While Phypers appeared calm during the unpredictable moments, Richards said her reaction was the opposite.
“I didn’t do well,” Richards said Jeff Lewis she began to scream as she described the moments. “I was literally on the floor and I almost peed my pants.
At one point, Richards began jumping out of the truck to escape before Phypers pulled her back inside for safety.
She later told an unidentified person: “Please, I don’t know what we did, but he’s just trying to take me to work.” According to Richards, the man rolled down the window and drove off.
As Richards tried to heal from the experience, the actress encountered some internet trolls.
When one Twitter user suggested that it would be okay if Richards was injured, she replied: “I would never wish anything bad on anyone. What I experienced with my husband yesterday, not that you care. It was the scariest situation I’ve ever been in. I’m sorry the shot didn’t hit my neck… and–––.’
Since that ordeal, Richards has been able to move forward as she continues to raise daughters Sami, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13.
In addition to playing in special unitsRichards will also appear in a new reality show focused on her loved ones.
“It’s a big look into our family,” Richards he said My Weekly in December 2024. “We’re finishing everything.” I’m excited, but I’m also like, ‘Oh my God, everyone’s going to see my family.'”
