Christina Haack she recalls the alleged treatment she received from her estranged husband Josh Hall on set Flip Off function before parting ways with the show.
“Filming with Josh was very difficult,” Haack (41) said exclusively. After Haack and Hall filed for divorce in July 2024, his role with Flip Off function changed. Our they confirmed at the time that since the series was already “in production,” Haack, Tarek, and Heather would “move forward with the show without” Josh.

When asked if Hall had expressed any concerns about her working with her ex, Tarek, Haack replied, “If I laughed at Tarek, I’d get the silent treatment for a week.” Haack claimed his reaction stemmed from “insecurity”.
Haack explained the filming Flip Off function “probably just hastened (their split).” Haack noted that she and Tarek had been “shooting together forever,” he reported Flip or Flopwhich premiered in 2013. “Someone with more confidence might say, ‘That’s my wife, but yes, she’s doing it for TV. When I met her, she was filming with Tarek,” Haack said Our. “There was a rationale that didn’t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I am your wife and I choose you, but you choose to make my life difficult because of insecurities.”
Despite her split from Halla, Haack shared that she hasn’t thought about calling it quits Flip Off function.
“This is not Josh’s show,” she said. “No one misses that he’s not there.” Josh is not a TV presenter, he is not a house flipper, he is not a designer. It was just my husband. Tarek and I built everything together, and I still respect him to this day. I have no respect for Josh.”
While the split between Haack and Hall will take place on camera, Haack said Our He is “not nervous” to watch any part of it. “There are definitely some very emotional scenes,” she said. “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done for TV – it’s very real and raw.”
Now that she’s going through life after her split from Hall, Haack said she’s “been very busy, which is probably a blessing.” She added: “It was really a period of great growth.”
Tarek and Heather always tried to be “very friendly” with Hall. “He was our kids’ stepdad, so we wanted a positive environment,” explained Heather, who welcomed son Tristan with Tarek in January 2023.
However, since Hall left the show, Heather called the dynamic “better”. She added: “Not to be mean, but he definitely didn’t have the best personality. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And (Christina is) in a really good place.”
Flip Off function premieres Wednesday, January 29 at 8pm on HGTV.
