Elon Musk’s AI company is testing xAI standalone iOS app for the chatbot Grok, which until now was only available to X users.
Currently live in multiple countries, including the US, Australia and India, the app can access real-time data from the Internet and X, and offers generative AI features like rewriting text, summarizing long paragraphs, and a little Q&A. create images from the text prompts as well.
“Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed to be as accurate, useful and engaging as possible. Get answers to any question, create stunning images, and upload images to gain a deeper understanding of your world,” the listing reads.
xAI is also developing a dedicated site called Grok.com to make the chatbot available on the web. Currently, when you log in with an xAI account, the site says “coming soon”.
Until recently, Grok was only available to X’s paying subscribers. Company in November started testing the free version of the chatbotand rolled it all users earlier this month.
The company says its chatbot’s image generator model excels at “photorealistic rendering” and doesn’t impose major restrictions on its image creation capabilities, allowing users to create images using images of public figures and copyrighted material.
