Allison Holker she explained her intention including personal information about her deceased husband Stephen “tWitch” the boss in his forthcoming memoir.
“I want to make it clear to Stephen’s fans and our family and friends that my only intention in writing the book is to share my own story with Stephen and a part of my life to help other people,” Holker, 36, wrote. via her Instagram story on Wednesday, January 8. “Like you, I never really knew what happened, and as much as I try to put the pieces together, I’ll never really know.”
Holker shared this for people who decide to pick up the book with the title This Way: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Lighthopes they can make it, she wanted to “celebrate the love and life” she and Boss had with their three children: daughters Wesley Renae and Zaia and son Maddox. (The boss died December 2020 by suicide. He was 40 years old.)
“My hope is that by sharing our full story, maybe I can help someone else who might see themselves or a loved one in Stephen,” Holker continued. “By sharing, I hope they might catch some of the red flags I missed before it’s too late.”

While writing the book, Holker said she spoke with many mental health nonprofits the last “two years” to make sure she can write truthfully and accurately portray a challenging subject. She also plans to give the profits from the novel to a foundation she set up in Boss’s memory.
“I hope we don’t have to lose another husband, brother, father or friend to suicide,” she said of saving even one life. Much love to all who have supported our family over the years.”
Earlier this week, Holker faced backlash online after revealing details of Boss’s life that he had never discussed publicly before his death. Holker also admitted that she read Boss’s diaries trying to find closure after his death.

“Reading Stephen’s journals and even going back to the books he was reading and the things he was highlighting and underlining really gave me a better look at where he was in life and the things he was dealing with,” she said. in an interview with People on Tuesday, January 7. “I felt a lot of empathy for him and sadness for all the pain he was holding.
Many of Boss’s family and friends publicly slammed Holker after the article is published.
“Anyone who knows me knows that during a conflict I go straight to the source and take care of my business. Courtney Ann Plattwhich appeared on So You think you can dance alongside Holker, he wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “But since there’s apparently no shame in being so public, I haven’t said a word in two years, but it’s okay. This is by far the most rude, classless and opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.”
