Heidi Montag Shares Tearful Video After LA Fire Destroys Her Home

Heidi Monday is doing her best to “focus on gratitude” after a fire destroyed her family’s home in Los Angeles.

Montag and husband Spencer Pratt they lost their property when the fire spread to Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, January 7th. The couple and their sons, six-year-old Gunner and thirteen-month-old Ryker, were safely evacuated that day.

“The craziest thing when you’re packing for a fire is that your brain just goes crazy,” said Montag, 38. Instagram stories on Wednesday, January 8. “You’re like, ‘What do I need? What don’t I need?” Packing up the house is so overwhelming. I mean, I only have two jeans and two shirts. I have a lot more clothes for the kids.”

Still, she asked herself, “Why didn’t I take more?”

As her eyes filled with tears, Montag said, “The main thing is that we are safe. He came out.” But at this point, “you’re really just panicking, and then part of you (thinks) ‘I’m coming back.’ You know, ‘Of course I’m coming back for all (our stuff).’ So I’m praying for everyone else going through this, and for all my friends and loved ones. Thank God we have our health and our kids. I just try to focus on being grateful.”

On Wednesday, Pratt, 41, delivered touching news on the Instagram grid.

“The only positive sign I saw. our house burned down our son’s bed was burned in the shape of a heart,” he wrote, posting Ring camera footage of the nursery.

He continued, “A sign of how much love was in this house so thankful for all the years and memories our family and I had there.”

Spencer’s sister, Stephanie Prattwas the first to confirm the news.

“I don’t know if it’s good that I’m in London or if I need to go back to LA, I can’t think straight. what should i do I am sincerely looking for advice. I’m frozen in shock,” Stephanie (38) wrote. via Instagram late on Tuesday. “How awful for my sweet nephews to watch their house disappear like this. They must be so scared and confused.”

In her Instagram story, Stephanie noted that she is “heartbroken” for her brother and their family.

“I was just talking to my dad – he tried to save my brother’s house but the wind was so strong. He couldn’t do anything,” Stephanie added. “Even the Palisades fire station burned down. Pacific Palisades is completely on fire. There’s nobody there.”

Stephanie went on to note that the siblings’ parents also “evacuated safely” before watching their own house burn via security camera footage.

“My parents house is gone,” Spencer wrote via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, sharing a photo of the rubble and adding seven crying emojis.
