As the wildfires continue to spread through the Los Angeles area, several celebrities have taken to social media to share how they were affected.
“Evacuated and safe with children, dog and cats. My prayers and thanks for the first responders,” Mandy Moore he wrote in an Instagram Story statement on Wednesday, January 8. In a follow-up post, she added that her family was “grateful for the kindness of friends to give us a place to land last night”.
Moore, who shares children Gus, 3, Ozzie, 2, and Lou, 3 months, with her husband. Taylor Goldsmith — continued: “I’m trying to protect the children from the immense sadness and fear I feel. Let’s pray for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. I don’t know if our place could handle it.”
Gusty winds in Santa Ana caused fast-burning brush fires to start on Tuesday, January 7th. CNN announced Wednesday that more than 50,000 people were under evacuation orders Tuesday night, with more than 30,000 remaining under orders through Wednesday.
