Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson she praises her former marriage to her ex-husband Prince Andrew.
In the new one interview for The Sunday Times The Duchess of York, 65, opened up about her relationship with Prince Andrew in a post on Saturday, December 14.
“I was completely and utterly in love with Andrew,” she told the paper of the early years of her relationship with Andrew, 64. “I would do it again, 100 percent.” He is the best, a great man with a big heart and kind. Our wedding was the best day of my life. But that day I gave up my anonymity. I did it because love conquers all. It is still with us today. I won’t let him down.”
She added: “He supports me as much as I support him. He supported me in everything, not just marriage or divorce. We agree on the three C’s – communication, compromise, compassion.
Fergie’s interview was conducted before reports emerged that Andrew was allegedly involved with the businessman he was accused of to be a Chinese spy. In a statement to the BBC on Saturday, the Duke of York said he had “ceased all contact” with the person and that he had met the man through “official channels” and “nothing sensitive was ever discussed. “
As for Ferguson, she further reflected on the early days of her and Andrew’s relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times.
“I first met Andrew when I was 12,” she told the paper. “My first thought was to marry him. When we returned to each other’s lives Diana he invited me to Ascot in 1985 and six months later we got engaged. You weren’t allowed to date or live together back then. Diana couldn’t, I couldn’t.”
Ferguson said the next generation of royals were “learning” from them, noting: “Sophie (Duchess of Edinburgh) and Catherine (Princess of Wales) he could They both recognized their boys.”

Ferguson’s sister Jane Luedecke also spoke to The Sunday Times about the former couple’s relationship.
“Sarah and Andrew are the best divorced couple I know,” Luedecke said. “They did it for their children; it’s unbelievable. In May I stayed at the Royal Lodge and went to Windsor Castle with Andrew. It was nice to get back on the horse and ride around the grounds again.”
Prince Andrew has had a past full of controversy and accusations. In October 2019, Andrew was accused by Virginia Roberts Giuffre of sexual assault. This came amid reports of his friendship with the late Jeffrey Epstein.
In an interview with BBC Newsnight in November 2019, Andrew denied the allegations, saying he “doesn’t remember ever meeting this lady, nothing at all”. Andrew said, “It never happened.”
Giuffre said she was forced to have sex with him three times between 1999 and 2002.
