Miley Cyrus gets emotional about the LA Wildfires after her 2018 disaster


The the ongoing Pacific Palisades fires can be particularly difficult for individuals such as Miley Cyruswho previously lost their property in similar natural disasters.

“This picture hit me hard in the heart today. This is a photo of my front porch in 2018 after we lost our house in the Woolsey fires,” Cyrus, 32, wrote on the social network. message on Saturday, January 11, sharing a picture of the rubble. “It’s a feeling you’ll never forget.” I went to the door you would walk through every day, looking forward to being greeted by those you love like you always do, but instead you are met with a pile of ashes and rubble.”

Also a Grammy winner shared a link to the Malibu Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps wildfire victims recover, and to several other GoFundMe campaigns for specific victims.

On Tuesday, January 7, a series of wildfires broke out in Los Angeles, quickly devastating thousands of acres of property in surrounding neighborhoods. Many celebrities and other residents lost their homes to the fire. Others meanwhileleft the city limits based on mandatory or voluntary evacuation orders.

It is not publicly known if Cyrus’ current residence has been affected by the ongoing natural disaster, but one of her previous homes was burned to the ground in 2018. At the time, Cyrus was married to an actor Liam Hemsworth. (Cyrus and Hemsworth, 34, separated in 2019 and will finalize their divorce next year.)

“It’s been a heartbreaking couple of days. This is what’s left of my house.
