Pregnant Kylie Kelce he’s getting honest highs and lows new motherhood.
“I had a period of my life where I really believed I was going through postpartum depression (depression),” Kelce, 32, said on Sunday. “Sunday Sports Club” podcast. “With Wyatt, I know I had some serious baby blues. We left the hospital and I was like, ‘So you’re telling me this is mine?'”
She continued: “I always tell people that the biggest milestone for me with Wyatt was when she was able to smile and on purpose because it showed that there was a connection. Most people take their baby home and it’s this sensitive social media, “Look how beautiful my baby is.” No, my baby cried from the bewitching hour of 8pm to 4am unless I was holding her or she wasn’t on my breast.”
Kylie welcomed her first child, daughter Wyatt husband Jason Kelce in October 2019. They later welcomed daughters Ellie and Bennett in 2021 and 2023, respectively. Kylie is currently pregnant with baby no. 4 — another girl.
While talking to the podcast host Allison Kuchova on Sunday’s episode, Kylie joked that she and Wyatt “were not cool” during their first few weeks together.
Wyatt is also Kylie and Jason’s rainbow child after the field hockey coach said she had previously said so she suffered a pregnancy loss.
“When we were going to have our first (child), my brain immediately (went) to, ‘We’re going to do this, like, there’s no wiggle room,'” Kylie recalled. “That was true because I originally got pregnant the year before and miscarried when I she went to the 13 week appointment. I found out I missed the miscarriage and had to end up with a D&C a few days later.”
She added: “I was extremely lucky (and) I think my body (and I) were just not on the same page. My body was like, ‘Oh, sorry, I didn’t know what we were doing.'” The next cycle I got pregnant with Wyatt .”
With Wyatt, Kylie was due to give birth during Jason’s NFL season. (The 37-year-old Super Bowl champion played center for the Philadelphia Eagles for 14 seasons until his retirement in 2024.)
“The most common question was, ‘What happens if you give birth on game day?'” Kylie said. “Well, thank you very much for your interest in me. I’m the type of person who says, ‘I’m going to do it.’ So the conversation I had if I went into labor… (while Jason had the game) was, “I’m not going to tell you. I’ll tell you when you’re done. I will not ask you to leave the game.’
Fortunately, Wyatt was born on a Wednesday “with full induction” in between Jason’s Eagles commitments. He witnessed the birth of his oldest child and left for another game two days later.
Now that Jason is retired, the birth of baby no. 4 less stressful.
“It’s a lot less planning, honestly,” Kylie said. “With Wyatt, there were so many conversations with our operations officers who are my saviors. I love them.”
