Bob the Drag Queen defends the targeting of housewives on The Traitors

Bob the Drag Queen he knows it was a controversial move to murder two wives in the household Traitors.

Remembering his decision with the other traitors— Danielle Reyes and Carolyn Wiger — to kill The Real Housewives of New York‘with Dorinda Medley in the second episode, Bob, 38, explained that they agreed that someone from the Bravo franchise should leave because they “they have the strongest numbers.”

“The Survivors people don’t like each other. Housewives are friends,” said Bob on Friday the 10th. Live streaming on YouTube summary of the first three episodes. “The Survivors people and Big brother people have stabbed each other, hurt each other, so they are not friends. Housewives are friends and we don’t think they’re going to turn on each other unless they want to say something, do we?”

Although Wiger, 38, thinks Medley, 60, could be a “good shield,” Bob (real name Christopher Delmar Caldwell) said they decided to kill RHONY alum.

“This really pissed people off on the Internet,” Bob said of their decision. “I don’t know that woman. I don’t know that she’s an icon on Real Housewives. I don’t know (if) it causes a scene. I have no idea who Dorinda is, so I’m like, “Girl, kill her.” I don’t know, let’s choose someone, because they are all strangers to me.”

The next morning, the contestants gather for breakfast and discover that Medley is missing. While the group’s reactions were displayed on the cameraBob and Reyes, 52, were seen crying – but he insisted his emotions were real.

“I didn’t play,” said Bob. “It was really sad that someone left. Her dreams were shattered. Yes, I did, yes, I did, but it was still sad. … I never actually acted in the show. If I cried, I really cried because I was emotional. It was also a crazy time in my life.”

Reflecting on her exit from the show, Medley said it “brought my eyes out”. She said Decider in an interview published Friday: “When I saw that cover, it was so unexpected. First of all, I think I should have been a traitor. But it was so devastating because unlike Housewives where you can kind of go on and have control over what you say, how you say it, what you do… you’re just not in control of this.”

Medley shared why she thought the traitors were after the Housewives. “I just think they realized that housewives are strong characters. We are confident and we are strong,” Medley said. “I think people especially see me as a strong woman who’s been through a lot and can’t take a lot of bull…”

After Wells Adams is driven from the castle, the next step of the traitors was to kill The Real Housewives of Dubai‘with Chanel Ayan. (Boston Rob joined the traitors after their first murder.)

“I know guys. I know you are mad at me. Get over it,” Bob told fans on Friday before explaining his strategy. “Ayan will never make it to the round table. That’s never going to happen, so how do we get her out? We have to kill her, right? …I feel bad that she was murdered, but it happened.”
