After Kelly Stafford and her four daughters left the hospital following undetected diseasethey hit the road to cheer Matthew StaffordLos Angeles Rams first playoff game.
“Found our happy place in AZ,” Kelly, 35, wrote via Instagram Stories on Sunday, Jan. 12, along with a shot of her two daughters looking less than happy at a Waffle House restaurant. “I promise we are happy.
Kelly and Matthew, 36, have been together since college and later welcomed four daughters. They share twins Sawyer and Chandler, 6, Hunter, now 4, and Tyler, 2.
During their Sunday brunch, the Stafford girls enjoyed waffles, eggs, hash browns and bacon.
“My south.” ❤️he’s so happy,” the Georgia native wrote in a follow-up post, sharing a photo of their plates.
A few hours ago, Kelly shared that she did she took her daughters to the local emergency room. It is not clear which child was sick or what the diagnosis was.
“Last night was a long one,” she wrote on Saturday, January 11. “Back to bed and sleeping, all but Hunter. Looks like she’s drinking Celsius. … Before, everyone was smiling when they went with dad on his work trip.”
Kelly brought the girls on Matthew’s “work trip” to Arizona for the Rams’ Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings. The game was supposed to be played at SoFi Stadium in LA, but was moved amid the ongoing wildfires in and around the Los Angeles area.
“It’s hard to watch the news, to be there, to see,” Matthew said at a news conference earlier this week. “I’m driving around and seeing all this, it’s really sad to see what’s going on.” Obviously, a lot of people are (doing) everything they can to try to get things under control and get people back to normal as quickly as possible.”
He added: “Every time we dress up, we’re the Los Angeles Rams. We play for the people in this community. People in this community support us. This week will of course be another example of that. Hopefully it’s a great escape for people who have been through a lot of hard times.”
For her part, Kelly organized plenty of charter buses to transport Rams fans to Arizona in time for the football game on Monday, January 13th.
“Drive safe,” she wrote via Instagram on Sunday, reposting a thank-you note from fans about the offer. “See you soon.”
