Kayla Wallace watched celebrity trials to prepare for Landman

Rebecca Falcone is one of the most powerful characters Landman — and in order to effectively display the legal representative, Kayla Wallace she had to do her research.

During an exclusive interview with My WeeklyWallace, 31, devoted herself to watching real-life trials to put herself in the right frame for her role in Taylor Sheridandrama series. “I was really interested in the interrogation and the manipulation of how the lawsuits get what they need out of the interrogation itself,” the actress said. Wallace not only attended the trial in Fort Worth—where Landman was filmed – but also sought inspiration from highly publicized studies on the Internet.

Wallace admitted that the scene was “one of the biggest to tackle,” explaining, “I remember feeling like I’d run a marathon at the end of the day.” Ultimately, she was proud of the outcome: “It was really amazing to experience, that I had to build trust in her and in myself as well.’

For When the heart calls alumstarring Rebecca – “a powerful, strong, smart woman” – was a dream. As it turned out, the role was made for her, with Sheridan recasting the character after seeing Wallace’s audition for Ainsley, which Michelle Randolph.

In the Season 1 finale, Rebecca faced a moral dilemma after being asked to renegotiate a $175 million farm lease that would include fracking. While there’s no word yet on Season 2, Wallace hopes to continue bringing Rebecca’s story to life — and already knows where she’d like to find the “incredibly smart and sharp negotiator.”

“As they said in episode 9, she’s not an oil and gas person — she’s a lawyer with almost zero knowledge in the field, so I’m excited to see her navigate (a field) she doesn’t know much about. Wallace said Our. “I also want to see who it is at the end of the work day.
