King Charles III loves the royal family’s Christmas traditions — especially this one aspect of the holiday.
“They love swapping gags and walking through Sandringham,” says the source My Weekly exclusively. “For gifts, they don’t do anything extravagant and rather make funny gifts that make each other laugh.”
Members of the royal family spend their holidays mainly at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England. Charles, 76, a Queen Camilla will be “hosting a pre-Christmas lunch” for employees along with family and friends, the same insider says Our. This year, the couple are using “eco-friendly decorations” and “supporting small local businesses” to get into the holiday spirit.
“Charles is inviting representatives from charities he’s involved with to some of the holiday events,” says the same source. “His favorite holidays are being with the grandchildren and spending quality time with the grandchildren.”
As always, the family will be celebrating with theirs annual Christmas Eve tea at Sandringham, along with a tie-dye dinner – featuring a “traditional Christmas multi-course meal” – and a formal service the following morning.
With several members of the family dealing with health issues this year, the royal family has “restored its focus on family, unity and tradition,” the insider adds. prince william and Princess Kate Middleton arranges a “smaller intimate meeting” with his parents, Carol and Michael Middletonbefore the whole celebration. (Both Kate and Charles he battled cancer this year while Camilla has recently withdrawn from various public events with an attack of pneumonia.)
“After everything they’ve been through and a tough year, Kate is most excited to share the magic of Christmas with her children, helping to decorate Sandringham and hosting their carol event,” says the source. “Kate honors tradition.
William and Kate plus their three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — are “getting ready for the holidays as a family.”
“They were low-key and back to normal,” the insider also tells us. Part of their normalcy usually includes time with the king and queen. Although the foursome “don’t see each other that much anymore” as the year ends.
“Kate, William, Charles and Camilla haven’t seen each other much because their schedules are so busy and they live separate lives,” the source explains. Our. “They’re also both recovering and not doing as many public events together that would usually see them seduce each other more often.”
