James Kennedy is seriously focusing on his sobriety after being arrested for domestic violence.

“James and (girlfriend Ally Lewber) are still living separately, but they haven’t broken up,” a source close to the couple said exclusively My Weekly on Monday, January 13. “James was very focused on self-improvement and sobriety and he was doing well. He attended the meeting and support schedule and took it very seriously.’

The source added: “He was also in the studio making music, working out and spending time with good friends and his dog. He’s optimistic about the new year and really emphasizes his health and well-being.” Our has reached out to Lewber’s representatives for comment.

Kennedy’s latest sobriety update comes one day after Lewber, 29, an astrologer, teased “new beginnings” for 2025 via TikTok on Sunday, January 12.

Lewber also said she “expects change” in 2025, which she says is “not easy, but always rewarding.”

“Remember it’s okay to feel, it’s great to feel,” Lewber continued. “We’re human again. But it is also nice to be reminded that we are in the process of change. There is still so much, so much magic to look forward to this year.”

Our confirmed in December 2024 that Kennedy, 32, he was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence after Burbank police responded to a call “in reference to an argument between a male and a female.” A witness says they saw Kennedy allegedly grab the woman and throw her to the ground, but officers who responded to the scene said they saw no visible injuries on the woman. Kennedy was later released on $20,000 bail.

Lewber and Kennedy have been dating since 2022.
