Travis Kelce shares an update on his film debut in Happy Gilmore 2.
The Kansas City Chiefs, 35, said on the Monday, Jan. 13 episode of ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show that he has “a few scenes” in the upcoming. Adam Sandler comedy and that filming was a “heavy load” of work.
“It was a dream come true. I thought SNL will be the pinnacle of my acting and showmanship or entertainment career. Working with Happy Gilmore himself, Sandman and Happy Productions was off the chain,” added the per Variety.
Kelce shared that playing alongside Sandler was not unlike working with the Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

“They are so professional and yet so much fun to work with. I felt like I was working with the Andy Reid of the acting world,” he said. “(Sandler) is as cool off screen as he is on screen. That was a dream come true. That was amazing.”

NetflixCommenting on the theory that he could appear in the film, Travis said: “Man, I didn’t even know there was a vacancy for Happy Gilmore 2.”
Travis added that he’s a “huge Sandman fan” and would jump at the chance to appear in a film with Sandler, but ultimately said it was all a “conspiracy theory.”
“I’ll have extra… anything to go around. Happy Gilmorean Adam Sandler movie or scene — count me in,” he added. “I will do anything in a movie. I’ll be a part of it as much as possible.”

A few months later, in August 2024, Sandler confirmed that Travis will appear in the film.
“Travis … brought it up, so we have something nice for Travis,” Sandler, 58, said The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The actor gushed over Travis, adding: “He’s a very nice guy. You would love him in real life. What a big handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. It’s a shame and it’s so funny.”
