Fans are hoping for a transition between Novice and 9-1-1 they will probably be disappointed.
Novice showrunner Alex Hawley turn off the thought their show sharing scenes with fellow ABC series 9-1-1narration TV line on Monday, January 13: “No, we haven’t really talked about it. It’s a hard crossover for me.”
Hawley explained the reason why there there were no attempts combine the two performances.
“Just because you have an expectation of seeing (9-1-1 characters) all the time,” Hawley noted about how the crossover would open the door for more. “If we’re both in the same universe in Los Angeles, how come we keep tripping over them?”
In 2018, Fox premiered 9-1-1 and introduced viewers to the professional and personal lives of Los Angeles emergency responders. The show that played Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Guzman and Kenneth Choiremained in the network until 2023.
After Fox canceled 9-1-1ABC flew in and restored show for a seventh season and went on to find success on the network. It’s the first spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Starhowever, he did not have the same luck.
9-1-1: Lone Star followed a New York firefighter (played by Rob Lowe), who moved to Texas and struggled to balance his work and personal affairs. Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael L. Silva, Julian Works and Gina Torres made up the rest of the cast.

The universe is reportedly expanding with a Hawley-written spinoff set in Washington state and following a police officer entering a new chapter in his life. The premise parallels the idea of the OG series, which centers around Nathan FillionJohn Nolan’s character changes careers.
This would be a second spinoff after Rookie: The Feds in 2022. The show was canceled by ABC after one season.
