The House Oversight Committee descended into chaos Tuesday after Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., challenged Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, to a fight.
“If you want to take him outside, we can do that,” Mace said.
The dispute broke out when Crockett said “boy, listen” during a comings and goings on civil rights, women’s rights and transgender rights.

“Someone’s campaign coffers are struggling right now. So she’s going to keep saying ‘trans, trans trans’ to make people feel threatened and kid, listen up,” Crockett said.
Mace erupted in anger.
“I’m not a boy! Don’t call me a boy! I’m not a boy. Don’t even start,” Mace said, cutting Crockett off. “I’m a grown woman. I’m 47 years old. I’ve broken more glass ceilings than you… You won’t do that. I’m not a girl… If you want to go out, we can do that.”

The two spoke to each other like House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer R-Ky., tried to control the chaos as he slammed his gavel.

Crockett then attacked Republicans, accusing them of going after “our country’s most vulnerable.”
She said: “Trans people aren’t going anywhere. Just like when the racists wanted to make sure black people were somehow pushed out of this country. We’re not staying either.”

“I’m not a girl. And if I wanted a physical fight, you’d know it. That’s not what it was,” she wrote. “I will not be intimidated by someone who wants to take away women’s rights while lecturing on civil rights. I will not be intimidated by someone who thinks being afraid of rape is a ‘fantasy’. This is not political, it is personal.”
Mace further attempted to clarify his comments in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“There has been much speculation about my intentions during a heated exchange about women’s rights today on Oversight,” she said in the statement. “Let me be clear: I wanted to get the conversation off the ground to have a more constructive conversation, not to fight. At no point was there any intention to cause harm to anyone. I was simply assaulted by a professional tr*ns man a few weeks ago and I am still in physical therapy for my injuries. I know first hand how the left is capable of causing real physical harm. I will not be bullied into submission, I will not be insulted by my colleagues like I was today. invalidated, especially as a rape survivor, I will always stand up for women and fight left-wing extremism that seeks to silence our voices and dismiss our rights.”

Crockett’s office also responded to Mace, claiming that it was clear that Mace was threatening physical violence against Crockett.
“It was clear that Rep. Mace was threatening physical violence against Congresswoman Crockett as part of his ridiculous and performative meltdown,” Crockett’s office said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “His expletive-ridden speech exemplifies exactly why the House Oversight Committee needs to approve Congresswoman Crockett’s amendment to restore the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Liberties. Congresswoman Crockett ignored his obvious and desperate harassment – if Rep. Mace wants to raise money off the back of a qualified black woman, he can try someone else.”

The uproar between Mace and Crockett occurred the same day the House passed a bill banning transgender athletes participate in women’s sports at schools that receive federal funds.
Two House Democrats voted alongside Republicans to pass the Women and Girls in Sports Protection Act. Reps. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, and Vicente Gonzales, D-Texas, were the only Democrats to vote in favor of the bill when it passed 218 to 206. Rep. Don Davis, D-N.C., voted “present “.
