Mayim Bialikat the guest’s place Melissa Rauch‘with Night Court represented a very fundamental nod to their time The Big Bang Theory.
“It wasn’t in the first draft of the script, but it was in the second draft. I just thought it was a really cute nod,” Bialik, 49, exclusively said My Weekly O as Night Court he found his way to her and Rauch, 44, to mention The Big Bang Theory.

Rauch replied, “Were you in it? I only remember a girl with a high voice. She was great.”
Bialik was thrilled with the cheeky approach to her on-screen encounter with Rauch. “Hopefully that’s part of the fun of comedy and the fun of being in that space where anything goes,” she added. “That’s the fun of sitcoms.
Duo shared the screen on Night Court after originally being costars on The Big Bang Theory. He starred in the CBS sitcom that aired from 2007 to 2019 Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal NayyarBialik and Rauch as a group of friends made up of scientists and their notable personalities.
After The Big Bang Theory ended, Bialik reunited with Parsons, 51. episode Young Sheldon and now he did the same with Rauch.
“When I remember how long it’s been The Big Bang Theory When it was over, this was a case where I felt like it didn’t last long. Because we’ve worked together for almost a decade and you learn a lot of the person’s rhythms and a lot of their comic tendencies,” the actress told us. “So I know how her brain works and she knows how my brain works. We have to create entertainment and have reaction shots that may not have been written in the script. These are things she and I are used to together. It’s playful in that way.”
Bialik continued, “I know acting is a job, but it’s also a craft. Like when you think about what it’s like to be in a school play, it’s kind of like that. It’s just like there are a lot of cameras. So you have a sense of play and creativity that happens. we definitely have it easy because we’ve been doing it together for so long.’
Night Court also reunited with Bialik John Larroquette after they were costars on The John Larroquette Show in the 90s.

“It was really wonderful to work with John again. But there is also a certain amount of – I don’t want to say pressure – but I put pressure on myself because I want to be professional. I worked on Call me Kat three years, but now I’m not working on a regular sitcom,” she noted. “It’s a bit of wanting to be on my best behavior as a comedian and making sure I don’t forget my lines.”
Bialik said he entered the show “definitely scared,” noting, “If I screw up my line, I don’t want John to think I’m unprofessional, which he probably wouldn’t. There’s definitely a bit of it. … It was just a great ensemble to be a part of, and that’s what I missed about being a part of a group of people who do comedy that way.”
New episodes Night Court air on NBC Tuesdays at 8:30 PM ET and are available to stream on Peacock the following day.
