Jimmy Fallon listened to one artist repeatedly in 2024 – at least according to his Spotify Wrapped.
“Taylor Swift was my best artist,” Fallon, 50, said exclusively My Weekly at Jingle Ball on iHeartRadio on Friday, December 13. “I’m Swiftie. I’ve been a fan of hers since day one. I love her.”
Besides Swift, 35, Fallon revealed that his other top performers this year were Chappell Roan and The Carpenters. While clarifying that he was not referring Sabrina CarpenterFallon joked that his love for the beloved ’70s band was showing his age.
“I mean, I’ve been rocking my playlist,” Fallon said at the event, which was held at New York’s Madison Square Garden. “I let my daughter use my Spotify too so you can see where Dad has been jumping. And then The Beatles and then Paul McCartney and John Lennon. But it’s a good mix, and it’s an honest mix. I didn’t make it up.”
Swift was Spotify’s most streamed artist of the year worldwide and had the most streamed album of the year with Department of Tortured Poets. It was Swift’s second year in a row to take home the title of most streamed artist. Swift was too declared the best artist of 2024 by Apple Music TTPD won best album. She received the same award from Amazon Music.
When he’s not listening to Swift’s discography, Fallon is celebrating success his own holiday tune. Recently “Holiday” Fallon and the Jonas Brothers number one on the Billboard charts.
“I never thought any of this would ever happen. I wanted to write a comedy album and I just wanted to make people laugh,” Fallon said Our. “I grew up listening “Weird Al” Yankovic and Dr. demented and all the weird comedy, so I wanted to make an album, and now I’m just thinking about all the little kids out there hearing how much fun you can have and be weird and be creative and write stuff and not write what anybody thinks. “
Fallon noted that his lyrics come entirely from his brain — no technological assistance required. “The AI couldn’t have written it, I’ll tell you,” he joked. “This is too weird. The AI would actually tell you not to write it. So I’m proud of that. I really put a lot of time and work into it and I’m so proud of it. Thanks to everyone who listened. I’m very, very grateful.”
