Crawford mocks Gervonta: ‘Scared’ to fight Shakur and Keyshawn

Terence Crawford told Gervonta Davis in X to “stop being afraid” and fight Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis. Those two are close friends of Crawford, so it makes sense that he would be trying to embarrass Tank Davis into fighting them.

Crawford’s Unbreakable

Keyshawn has no fans and has looked terrible in fights against Miguel Madueno and Nahir Albright. He has shown no interest in fighting the Cubans. andy cruzwho spanked him four times in the amateur tournament and made him look like a circus clown at the 2020 Olympics. Tank isn’t going to help Crawford’s gym buddy Keyshawn.

Crawford is trying to reach out to Gervonta after he criticized him in X, saying:

“You all really believe he (Crawford) is chasing greatness. He is not. “That’s what you have to do to make decent money.”

Tank Davis is talking about Terence looking for profit, not greatness against Canelo Alvarez in Saudi Arabia. It’s more about retirement money for Crawford. If he was truly interested in his legacy, he would move up to 168 and prove himself first instead of begging for the fight.

Crawford has been telling fans that his reason for moving up two weight divisions to challenge unified super middleweight champion Canelo is for “legacy” purposes to become great, but Davis sees it as purely money-oriented.

Bud’s group

This is what Crawford has to do to make money because he can’t sell. Crawford’s last fight against Israil Madrimov reportedly generated between 75,000 and 100,000 buys. They are terrible figures. Crawford has NEVER been a PPV draw like Tank Davis has been.

Lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) shares the same trainer with ‘Bud’ Crawford. Both are trained by Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre.

The tank will not fight a bored Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) because he is not a marketable fighter and would be dead weight for the promotion. Gervonta would bring all the PPV buys and Shakur would just be there. Shakur is a boring wrestler that people don’t want to see.

I still don’t know why Eddie Hearn hired Shakur and thinks he can make him a “global star.” That’s not happening in the US.

Maybe Hearn can make Shakur a star in the UK because his entertainment standards seem low. That’s why fighters like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. are so popular there. They would never be stars in the United States. You must have talent to be a star in America.
