Trista Sutter says she felt “good” about Ryan Sutter’s divorce rumors


Trista Sutter she was unfazed by the rumors surrounding her Ryan Sutter‘s marriage while she appeared on Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test.

“Everyone is quick to assume the worst,” Trista, 52, told the exclusive My Weekly while talking about her performance special units. “I think it’s human nature, honestly. I didn’t know what happened to the world. I’m like, ‘You’ve all lost your minds.’ Sorry, but why the huge hype about it?”

After posting a series of cryptic social media posts in May 2024, Ryan, 50, sparked fears among fans that he and Trista were on the rocks. After Ryan shared it with Trista will not spend Mother’s Day with their children, son Maxwell, 16, and daughter Blakesley, 15, there were rumors of trouble in paradise.

Actually, Trista was away filming special units and he couldn’t deal with the speculation surrounding their romance.

“I’ve had people texting me nonstop, ‘Are you OK? What’s going on? Are you having a nervous breakdown? Are you divorced? Are you going through a trial breakup? What’s going on?'” Trista recalled. “I’m like, ‘No, no , no, no, to all those things. You’ll find out why and it will all make sense.”

Despite the drama, Trista said she has one positive: the outpouring of support for their relationship.

“I have to say it made me feel good that people were actually interested,” Trista said. “We have been married for 21 years. That show was really long ago, and the fact that people still care about it was very humbling and very sweet to me, even though it was very messy.” (Trista and Ryan got engaged during Bachelor season 1 in 2003.)

While Trista acknowledged that Ryan’s previous post was “cryptic,” she explained that she thought the message was appropriate under the circumstances.

“If you go back and read (his post), it’s like, ‘I miss you. I wish I could be there for you,” Trista said. “It makes perfect sense. I wish people wouldn’t jump to conclusions, but at the same time I feel like it’s just human nature and people will.”

Now the couple is enjoying themselves watch her compete on special units. (Sad he voluntarily withdrew from the competition during the Wednesday, January 15 episode.)

“I think they’re surprised that I did it,” she said, “and that I was able to overcome the things that I went through.”
