Chrishell Stause Says She ‘Frozen in Fear’ at LA Wildfires Evacuation

Sunset’s for sale Chrishell Stause recounts how she was “frozen with fear” during an evacuation during the LA fires.

The reality star, 43, shared during her appearance on Wednesday, January 15 on Sherri that the fires and subsequent evacuation process brought back long-buried memories of her house burning as a child.

“When we needed to evacuate, there was a fire like in our backyard. It was immediately like, ‘You have to go,'” she explained during the episode. “I think I froze a little with fear. I kind of forgot when I was 12 I saw my house on fire.”

Stause added that the incident was “something you don’t think about. It happened so long ago.”

However, this caused her to “freeze” when it came time to evacuate. Stause credited her wife, an Australian singer G Flip (real name Georgia Claire Flipo) took command during evacuations while the reality star struggled due to her past experience with fires.

“You don’t know how you’re going to react. I think I’d like to think I’m good in an emergency,” Stause continued. “But it kind of showed me that I really needed a little kick in the ass, and G was there to keep me focused, so it was nice to have them.

Stop further praised G Flip last week via an Instagram story as she reflected on her traumatic childhood experience.

“A bit of PTSD from the whole experience, which I completely forgot about until last night when I was standing there in shock,” she said. “Luckily I had my partner, who is amazing, who pulled me out of it and helped me stay focused.

While Stause was evacuated, she was lucky not to lose her home in the wildfires ravaging parts of Los Angeles, including the exclusive Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Santa Monica and Hollywood Hills. Stause is one of many celebrities natural disaster struck. Stars such as Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Paris Hilton and Miles Teller they are among those whose houses burned and were reduced to rubble.

Stause started seeing G Flip after her breakup Jason Oppenheim in late 2021. Stause and G Flip went on to close the node in May 2023.

Stause opened up about her relationship with G Flip in an interview with Fashion in June 2022, when he told the outlet, “just being around G (is) such an uplifting experience; if you ever had the pleasure of being in the same room with them, you would quickly understand what I mean. I love the feeling of that endless support of wanting the other person to be fully who they are.”
