Kim Zolciak-Biermann gives an update on his bitter split from Kroy Biermann.
Zolciak-Biermann, 46, didn’t mince words when approached by a TMZ reporter at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, December 16. When asked to describe what she’s going through in her personal life, the reality star replied, “Torture.”
“Are you going through torture right now?” the reporter asked her.
“I have years,” she said.
Zolciak-Biermann told the paper: “I’m a normal, rational person who doesn’t see the need for any of this control chaos. I don’t. Not really.”
Earlier this month My Weekly reported that police responded to a Nov. 27 domestic violence call at the couple’s home in Georgia.
Zolciak-Biermann claimed she and Biermann, 39, had an argument while she was on a ladder taking down curtains. Real Housewives of Atlanta the alum claimed that Biermann got into a confrontation with her and things got physical. She claimed that the ex-footballer physically removed her from the ladder and threw her to the ground.
Zolciak-Biermann reportedly told law enforcement officers that she suffered injuries as a result of the alleged incident. However, officers claimed in the report that she refused to provide any evidence of physical injury to paramedics. Biermann, for his part, claimed that Zolciak-Biermann started an argument and allegedly punched him in the face.
The incident reportedly took place in front of some of Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann’s children. The exes share sons KJ, 13, Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, both 11. Biermann also adopted Zolciak-Biermann’s daughters Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 23, from a previous relationship.
According to the report, law enforcement could not determine who the “primary aggressor” was and no arrests were made.
“I think there’s a record that Kroy was a problem,” Zolciak-Biermann told TMZ on Monday. “No one has any idea what I’ve been dealing with for the last two and a half, three years of my life. I’m trying to take the high road.”
She added: “It’s going to take me a long time to heal from this trauma that I’ve experienced.”
Zolciak-Biermann said she and Biermann “live together … She has her own house, but she doesn’t live there.” She said of their situation, “I hate it.”

At the beginning of December, the couple is home was put up for public auction and facing closure. Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann, who married in November 2011, purchased the mansion, located at Manor Golf & Country Club, in 2021 for $880,000.
They’ve had their fair share of ups and downs since initially filing for divorce in May 2023. brief reconciliation and called off their split, only for Biermann to file for divorce again weeks later. The pair were at odds over finances and since then in the care of her children. Apart from the divorce drama, Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann avoided each other foreclosure on their house multiple times.
Asked Monday if Biermann was “too controlling,” Zolciak-Biermann said, “At least. But it’s all good. I wish him well. I do.’
