Pence plans to attend Trump’s inauguration, the New York Times reports via Reuters


WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former US Vice President Mike Pence plans to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. New York Times (NYSE: ) reported on Friday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Reps for Pence and Trump did not immediately comment.

Pence, vice president during Trump’s first administration, ran against the former president to become the Republican presidential nominee in last year’s election.

Pence, who did not endorse his former boss before the 2024 election, has had a bad relationship with Trump since the end of his first term, which ran from 2017 to 2021.

Pence had rejected Trump’s request to end his 2020 election victory on January 6, 2021.
