Christine Quinn and her son say goodbye to LA as they establish new—and familiar—roots in Texas.
“I’m really, really grateful to live here,” he said Sunset for sale alum, 36, said of his new home near Dallas in an interview with People Posted on Friday, January 17th. “(It’s a blessing) to be close to my family. I have a sister who lives really close to me and my son has a cousin.’
Quinn, who was born in Dallas, added that having close loved ones was “really something” she “needed, as opposed to the chaos” of life in Los Angeles.
Over the past year, the real estate agent has been struggling a series of ups and downs with an estranged husband Christian Richard. In March 2024, he was Richard arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly throwing a bag of glass at Quinn. Next month, Richard filed for divorce from Quinn, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The exes share a son, Christian, 3, who they welcomed in May 2021.
While Quinn and Richard are divorcing is currently underwaythe reality star told the outlet that she is “very optimistic that it will be completed soon.”
Quinn has settled into a new home in Texas, and it’s no surprise that she’s spearheading the decorating process herself.
“I found a wonderful house,” she said. “I’d say it’s about 60 percent done, but there are still some things I want to do and really take it to the next level because I love interior design.”
As Quinn has established herself back in the Lone Star State, Christian is also adjusting well to her new surroundings. Before the move, Quinn admitted she was “really worried” about her little one because he used to be “non-verbal”. Since their relocation, Christian has become “a complete slob,” according to Quinn.
“It’s so crazy that I moved to Texas. I mean, at 3, he was literally a non-verbal child, which is pretty rare,” she explained. “He went from being immediately enrolled in school, having other kids around him, being so talkative, being so outgoing.”
In addition to bonding with other children in his new home, Quinn added that her son was also in an “intensive therapy” program. However, he believes that the new landscape played a major factor in Christian’s personal development.
“Children are a product of the influence of their environment,” she said. “And let’s hope it passes now somehow.
