Khloé Kardashian and her ex-husband, Lamar Odomwe will meet face to face in the upcoming episode of the series The Kardashians.
“I honestly think timing is everything,” Khloé, 40, said in a confessional that aired Friday, Jan. 17, in a trailer for the Hulu series’ sixth season, before asking her sister. Kim Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner whom she had recently seen in person.
Kim (44) and Kris (69) were shocked that Khloé talked about Lamar (45). (Khloé and Lamar were married from 2009 to 2013.)
“That’s crazy,” Kim joked, before a tearful Kris called the NBA alum “the love of (Khloé’s) life.”
Kim Kardashian’s 72-day wedding to Kris Humphries was preceded by Khloé Kardashian’s nine-day engagement to Lamar Odom. In another scene, Lamar was seen arriving at Khloé’s house carrying a bouquet of red roses.
“I don’t even know that person anymore,” the Good American founder added in a voiceover. “There must be drama in this family.
She also seemed to get into a heated conversation with Lamar.
“It’s true,” Khloé stated. “The truth hurts sometimes.” A lie hurts several times.”
Khloé married Lamar in September 2009 after a month of datingsoon to chronicle their romance on a Khloe and Lamar E! documentary series. The reality TV star filed for divorce four years later, but the court postponed the motion after Lamar remained in a coma overdose in a legal brothel in Nevada. Khloé served as Lamar’s nurse while he recovered. She filed for divorce again in May 2016, which was finalized seven months later.
“The reason I turned to the gym was actually my divorce. I really didn’t know what to do,” Khloé referred to InStyle in profile 2023. “Obviously, in the beginning (you have to) get over the hump that it’s really hard and something so new to you. But I felt so accomplished. I’m a bit of a control freak, but we can’t control everything in life. But the gym, whatever I put into it, I know I’ll get out of it. And as a control freak—I’m proud of it—I love having that control.”
She later switched to Tristan Thompsonwhom she went on and on between 2016 and 2021. Together they have a daughter True (6) and a son Tatum (2).
Khloé’s family life — and her milestone 40th birthday — will be among the story lines The Kardashians season 6. Teaser also highlighted Kourtney Kardashian “coming out of retirement,” sisterly bickering, and Kim balancing business endeavors and parenthood with a new love interest.
“I had every intention of staying single – I totally lied to you,” Kim said in the confessional. “Don’t I walk around craving love and attention? I don’t think you know me!”
