Snoop Dogg fans are ready to send him to the doghouse after the rapper performed at a Trump inauguration dance party despite once taking a shot at the president-elect in a music video.
The “Gin and Juice” rapper found himself in the dog house after lending his talent to the Crypto Ball in DC on Fridaya black-tie gala hosted by cryptocurrency organizations BTC Inc. and Stand With Crypto that was billed as a celebration of the United States’ first “crypto president,” Donald Trump. The event was hosted by the incoming administration’s crypto czar, David Sacks.
The rapper can be seen in several social media videos working on a turntable while rapping his classic hits like “Drop it Like it’s Hot” and “Nothing but a ‘G’ Thang.”

Many of Snoop’s fans were outraged by the betrayal, and one furious liberal publication that “It’s time to throw @SnoopDogg in the dumpster with the rest of Trump’s insurrectionist and white supremacist allies.”
Outraged social media users invaded the comments section. in an Instagram video of the performance, saying Snoop Dogg “sold out the show” and calling the concert “embarrassing.”
The performance of “Doggfather” comes as a bit of a surprise to many hip-hop observers, as the rapper has had a history of conflict with Trump and his supporters. Snoop Dogg was seen pointing a gun at a clown dressed as the president-elect in the 2017 music video for the song “Lavender” by Canadian group BADBADNOTGOOD.

The “Sensual Eruption” rapper had threatened to “roast the shit” of any “Uncle Tom a—n—a” who performed for Trump’s inauguration at a video posted on his Instagram January 10, 2017, ten days before taking the oath.
Snoop Dogg has since changed his mind, saying he has “nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” in a January 2024 interview with The London Times.
“He hasn’t done anything wrong to me. He’s just done great things for me. He forgave Michael Harris,” the rapper said. Michael “Harry-O” Harris is the co-founder of Death Row Records and was serving a 25-to-life sentence for drug trafficking and attempted murder until Trump pardoned him in January 2021.
