Using the 4,952 cm3 (302 in3) V8 engine developed for the BF350, Honda’s marine outboard model that went on sale in February 2024, the BF300 offers powerful performance with high output of 300 horsepower. In addition to exhibiting high performance and seaworthiness achieved by high torque, the BF300 was designed to run on regular gasoline despite its high output. In recent years, yachting has become very popular, especially in North America and Europe. Against this background, and after the introduction of the BF350, Honda introduced the BF300, another high-performance engine, to meet the needs of many customers.
The BF300 features enhanced support features to ensure an easy and comfortable sailing experience for customers, including new functions introduced for the first time with the BF350, such as the cruise control function, which which makes it possible to travel at the set speed of the ship. or engine speed (rpm), as well as a trim support function, which automatically adjusts the trim angle(1) to maintain one of the pre-set patterns. The BF300 also has a fully automatic tilt function to tilt the outboard motor up/down (2), which greatly increases the ease of parking and/or storing the outboard. By improving the ECU performance of the base model, the BF350, the BF300 offers more performance comfort. In particular, when using three outboard motors together, a neutral control function can be added to the center-mounted outboard motor to clamp the board in place more stably.
