Jason Tartick maybe he should have Erin Lichy on his podcast, but fans quickly assumed he was interviewing his ex-fiancée, Kaitlyn Bristowe.
“You want to know what happened when I reposted your story?” Tartick, 36, asked Licha, 37, on the Monday, Jan. 20, episode of his “Trade Secret” podcast. “A ton of people were like, ‘Oh my God, I thought that was your ex-fiancée.’ I didn’t realize it, but the one picture I put out there looked like that. I was like, ‘Oh…'”
Tartick clarified that he doesn’t think Lichy and Bristowe, 39, “actually look alike”, but his reaction to that one photo was: “Oh my god.”
“Did they think you were interviewing your ex-fiancée?” asked Lichy, to which Tartick replied, “They’re like, ‘I just had to triple check there.’ I say, ‘No.’ Because it would be an interesting conversation.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe wasn’t subtle when sharing her feelings after ex-fiancé Jason Tartick went public with their new relationship. “People make me sick,” she wrote on Thursday, June 13, in an Instagram story that has since been deleted. Tartick and Bristowe announced in August 2023 that they were calling it quits two years after getting engaged. The pair continued to provide information about their split, with Bristowe suggesting that Tartick had a “victim mentality” following their split.
“I don’t want to dismiss that he’s in pain. I don’t want to dismiss that his feelings are valid and his feelings hurt,” she said in a January 2024 episode of her podcast, “Off the Vine.” “I was so open and honest with him. We were so transparent with each other that we had respect for each other.”
After Tartick he went public with his girlfriend at the time Cat Stickler A few months later, Bristowe appeared to have rekindled the relationship. “People make me sick,” Bristowe wrote in various Instagram Story posts in June 2024. “What people will do for attention will make me leave the internet forever.”
Tartick and Stickler, 30, they have since split upand announced their decision to split in October 2024 after six months of dating. Bristowe, for his part, sparked romance rumors with Zac Clark on New Year’s Eve in 2023 – and quickly silenced rumors that she had been unfaithful to Tartick.
“You’d think I’d be used to the hate. I’m not Your words hurt. Your shame hurts. Part of me feels a little sad for you and honestly ashamed for you because this is not how you should spend the first day of the new year,” Bristowe wrote via her Instagram story in January 2024. “You should not be so invested in someone I don’t even know or respect . It’s actually scary, and I know that looking inside can be even scarier for you. But bullying is next level. You can have opinions and feelings.”
She continued, “But you don’t even know the truth and your HATE should actually have consequences. I’m really worried about some of your mental health. It’s not okay. His. No. Please. Please be ashamed of yourself for treating someone you don’t know this way. I didn’t kill anyone. I had a party with some of my favorite people. Shame. On. YOU. I don’t.”
Responding to a separate post, Bristowe responded to the rumors directly, writing: “I want to say that there has never been an iota of cheating and I will not stand for these rumours. You are all NASTY here. Anyone. I swear on the lives of my dogs. No cheating continued. So we can put it to rest. Thank you!! Happy new year everyone. Go donate blood or something!”
