Police body camera video shows Chilean immigrants arrested in connection with robbery of Bengals’ Joe Burrow’s home

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released dash cam footage showing a traffic stop and the eventual arrest of four men. The men are suspected of december robbery of a home in Ohio owned by Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow.

The two-time Pro Bowl quarterback was competing against the dallas cowboys in Arlington, Texas, when the home invasion occurred. Olivia Ponton, a model and social media influencer who was identified as Burrow’s employee in the incident report, was at the home at the time of the incident. However, Burrow’s home was ransacked, according to a report from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The four suspects, who were described as Chilean citizens, were arrested following “an ongoing investigation involving burglaries at multimillion-dollar homes in several states,” according to to WLWT-TVciting court documents.

Sergio Cabello, Bastián Morales, Jordan Sánchez and Alexander Chávez were arrested in Clark County after being stopped by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Jan. 10, documents show.

“The four men were identified as being in the country illegally or overstaying their permits,” the arrest report said, as all of the men provided false identifications.

Court documents added that authorities found “an old LSU shirt and a Bengals cap, believed to have been stolen from the Dec. 9, 2024, burglary in Hamilton County, Ohio.” Burrow played college football at LSU and currently resides in Hamilton County.

A search of the vehicle the suspects were in also uncovered “two Husky automatic drills wrapped in a cloth towel.” The tool has been used by the South American Theft Group, according to authorities.

The four suspects face charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, participation in a criminal gang, possession of criminal tools and obstruction of official business.

Ponton called his mother Diane Ponton and then contacted 911 as the robbery was taking place, deputies reported.

“Someone is trying to get into the house right now,” Diane Ponton was heard saying in the recorded 911 call. “My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She’s staying there. He’s at the game. football. She wonders what she should do, if she should hide or if she should go out.

Burrow broke his silence a few days after the incident occurred, saying the situation made him feel “violated.”
