James Kennedy he will not be charged after his arrest in 2024 for domestic violence.

“I have just been informed by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office that no charges will be filed against James Kennedy,” Kennedy’s attorney Scott Leemon he said My Weekly in a statement on Wednesday, January 22. “I want to thank them for their thorough and professional review of the matter, including my client.”

The statement continued: “Their thorough investigation confirmed what we have been saying from the beginning – there were no grounds for any charges to be brought against Mr. Kennedy. James is grateful to have this matter behind him and looks forward to continuing to focus on his sobriety and his DJ career.”

Kennedy, 32, was arrested last month on a charge of misdemeanor domestic violence after an alleged incident with a girlfriend Ally Lewber. He denied any wrongdoing at the time.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made by the Burbank Police Department against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys he said in a statement at that time. “It is our understanding that there were no injuries and we hope that after careful consideration, city officials will decide not to file formal charges.”

According to a police report, local officers were called to Kennedy and Lewber’s shared residence in Los Angeles after receiving a 911 call about an alleged fight. Kennedy was released from police custody within hours after posting $20,000 bail.

A few days later, Lewber, 28, broke her silence about the incident.

“Thank you to everyone who reached out to me with love and support and for looking at me,” she wrote via Instagram Story. “I’m fine and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.’

Before the holidays, Lewber left her and Kennedy’s residence in favor of an Airbnb with her parents. Neither Bravo star has confirmed whether their relationship is officially over, though a source said Our at the beginning of this month that friends believing they are “done”.

According to the insider, Kennedy told the friends they were “just taking a break” and are still in touch.

“Everyone around them thinks they’re done and they can’t come back from it,” the source added.

Kennedy is also focused on his sobriety.

“I’m determined to make meaningful changes in my life,” he wrote via Instagram Story on Dec. 14. “I take time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth and being present for my loved ones. Going through challenging times is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow and move forward with an incredible support system around me.”
