Travis Kelce responds to Lil Wayne saying the Chiefs are frauds

Travis Kelce replied po Lil Wayne aired his beef with “cheating” Kansas City bosses on social media.

During Chiefs NFL divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, Jan. 18, Wayne, 42, took to the X and made his feelings known about Kelce’s team.

“I hate cheating azz bosses,” rapper he wrote.

IN follow-up postWayne added: “It’s not even impressive when you cheat and then clearly try to cheat. Just win gold.”

The rapper — who is notoriously a big football fan and die-hard supporter of the Green Bay Packers in particular — was referring to a story that has dogged the Chiefs all season: that NFL referees favor the two-time defending Super Bowl Champions. The main quarterback Patrick Mahomes he was also charged with a failed attempt to sell a roughing the pass penalty by flopping on the sideline during the fourth quarter of the game.

On Wednesday, January 21, their part “New Heights” podcast, travis and his brother, Jason Kelcefaced the dispute head on.

“The whole world was talking about something else during the game, and I’m sure you saw some of it, but they were complaining about the referee again, Trave,” Jason said.

In the podcast, Jason, 37, read Wayne’s post out loud and lambasted him for his spelling. “Spelling ass with two z’s,” he joked.

“Shout out to Tunech, man,” Travis, 35, said, referring to Wayne’s nickname.

Jason then read a post in response to Wayne defending Kelce and the Chiefs against the cheating allegations.

“Literally people will see s- like that and say, ‘Yeah, just what I thought. Ref vs. Texans,'” Jason said. “Bra Texans left the all-time leading playoff receiver wide prey nekkid open for 4 quarters, and yet the Chiefs they needed these challenges.”

Travis laughed hysterically and said, “Yes. They left me naked in the open.”

The tight end had 117 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 23-14 victory over the Texans, which earned them a trip to the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.

When asked to provide his own response to the role in the game, specifically the two controversial fouls against the Texans, Travis decided to “beg the fifth.”

Mahomes, 29, has dealt with controversy during the interview with 96.5 The Fan on Tuesday, January 21.

“I’ve learned that no matter what happens during the game, if you win and keep winning, something will come out of it, so I don’t really pay attention to that,” Mahomes said. “I mean, obviously I’ve been on both sides of how I felt the calls were made, but at the end of the day, man, those guys are doing what they can to make the best calls and keep them where the players are playing in the game. And that decides the outcome.”

He added: “And obviously there was a call here or there that people didn’t agree with, but at the same time I think there were a lot of other plays that really decided the outcome of this football game.”

As for the forfeit allegation, Mahomes acknowledged there was some credibility to it.

“I would say the only one where I felt like I probably did too much was the one on the sideline where I didn’t get the flag and the ref saw it and didn’t throw the flag and I knew right away and I know I was probably shouldn’t have done,” Mahomes said.

The Chiefs face the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, which airs on CBS on Sunday, January 26th at 6:30pm ET.
