WASHINGTON – President donald trump will address the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, virtually Thursday, his first major appearance at an international event since returning to the White House earlier this week.

Trump is expected to participate in a question and answer session after his speech with Blackstone Chairman Steve Schwarzman, bank of america President and CEO Brian Moynihan, Santander Bank executive president Ana Botin, and Patrick Pouyanné, president and CEO of Total Energies. They will be joined by WEF founder Klaus Schwab and executive director Børge Brende.

Trump’s appearance comes days after he signed executive orders to withdraw the united states of the World Health Organization and Paris climate agreement.

He has also demanded that the United States exercise control over the Panama Canal, and renewed its offer to “buy” Greenlandan autonomous territory of Denmark.

Since taking office, Trump has said he is considering tariffs of 25% on products from Mexico and Canada, and 10% floating tariffs on imports from China.
