Hoda Kotb they may have left Today show, but proves that her friendship with her former co-hosts is here to stay.
Kotb, 60, shared a photo via Instagram with Jenna Bush Hager43 a Savannah Guthrie53, on Wednesday, January 22. In the picture, the trio can be seen smiling at the restaurant.
“I love Wednesdays!! @savannahguthrie @jennabhager. Also remember when you had that big going away party and now I’m like…… HIIIIIIIIIIIII!” Kotb wrote in the caption.
Bush Hager reposted the image on Instagram Stories and wrote, “I love these girls.
Guthrie also shared the image via Instagram Stories. She wrote it: “Reunion.”
The trip comes less than two weeks after Kotb’s last episode on the NBC morning show on Jan. 10.
After the rising star, Today with Hoda and Jenna relaunched as Today with Jenna and friends. Bush Hager will host with a rotating selection famous guests until Kotb’s replacement is selected.
“Whoever’s sitting in that seat is going to have the easiest job in the world because they’re sitting next to you,” Kotb said in a September 2024 episode of the series. Hoda and Jenna after announcing her plans to leave the show.
“I mean, the only thing they have to do is not laugh so hard they pee their pants. That’s all. He just has to hold on. You are the bright light, you always have been and it’s your turn,” she added.
Bush Hager replied, “If I’m bright, it’s because I’m sitting in your glow.”
As for Kotba, the TV personality isn’t completely retiring from the news. In an interview with Page Six published on January 9. Kotb revealed that she will serve as a special correspondent for Today and NBC and has signed on to cover the next two Olympics.
Kotb also shared plans to launch a wellness app and company during the show The Kelly Clarkson Show on January 6.
“(It will) include retreats and a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together (and do) … It’s not like going to Mexico with the girls, which is fun, but something that when you leave you’re like, ‘Oh my god, I feel changed. I feel different,” Kotba said at the time.
“She’s going to make a lot more than she did on tonight’s show,” a source exclusively said latest edition My Weekly.
“Now that she’s not working full-time at NBC, Hoda will be working with brands and can be paid to endorse them. She could also earn several hundred thousand dollars for speaking engagements on topics such as ‘changing your life at 60,’” the source added.
