Trump is not happy with the way EU regulators treat US tech giants


President Donald Trump is not happy with how European Union regulators are treating US-based tech companies, including Google, Meta and Apple.

On stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump blasted EU regulators. According to him, EU claims against these US technology companies are “a form of taxation”. Bloomberg reports.

Trump paid special attention to Apple’s lawsuit lost last year Regarding the €13 billion tax bill in Ireland. In 2024, the EU’s Court of Justice in Luxembourg found that Apple took advantage of illegal tax breaks in Ireland between 1999 and 2014 and was forced to pay back taxes.
