Epic Games adding third-party games to apply to the mobile app store and help developers pay the associated iOS fees. The company is launching a free-to-play program and will cover the costs of all titles from developers who participate in the program on iOS or iPadOS devices.
With this program, Epic will introduce new free games in its store every month. The games will be available worldwide on Android and in the European Union on iOS.
The company’s mobile store launched in August With their names including Fortnite and Rocket League. With this expansion, Epic Games adds the first batch of mobile games from third-party developers.
Epic CEO and founder Tim Sweeney says the company has invested more than $1 billion in its digital storefront.
