I have been loving gymnastics and school and both have been going well, however, I felt that disorder was infringing my ability to completely enjoy these aspects of my life; I was throwing an abundant amount of my mental and physical energy away from the things I appreciate, “wrote the star gymnast.
Jung-Ruivivar admitted that he experienced “much restlessness” while weighing if talking about his private battle. But she determined that it was “important” for her to share with what she was dealing with.
“As elite athlete, I felt it was vital to stop the damage I was doing to my body and mind looking for help,” he added.
Jung-Ruivivar also expressed his appreciation for the support he received from his loved ones and coaches, adding that “he seeks to enjoy all this and more as I overcome my eating disorder.”
