Maria Menounos proves that she is Our thanks to my husband Kevin Undergaroshe has many nicknames for her.
“So Keven called me Froggy in the early days,” the TV show host, 46, exclusively reveals in the latest issue My Weekly. “That went away once I stopped being cute, I became an A-girl… that’s what she says.
Menounos jokes that Undergar’s nicknames for her went from cute to teasing as their connection grew. Few tied the knot during 2017 New year celebrations in Times Square after 15 years of dating. Undergar’s nickname for his wife now comes from “Mrs. Bitch” to “The Crowd Goes Wild” — and Menounos explains why.
“Keven is really funny and has a lot of nicknames for everyone. Each of our dogs has had 50 names and Keven likes to play with me,” she says. “So we go to Chili’s for dinner and the woman says, ‘Oh, how much?’ He says, “One.” He says, “Two, one bitch.” And the waitress always says, ‘What?'”
Menounos says Undergaro, 57, has a “dark sense of humor.” Besides having random nicknames, Menounos shares that she and Undergaro have their daily conversations in an interesting place.
“Keven and I have morning meetings in the shower,” she says. “We’ll go over everything there.”
Keep scrolling to see how you like it Our Name bearing is:
Our: What was the last thing you waited in line for?
Name bearer: Foodstuffs. You wait in line to pay for your groceries, I just did. I don’t like waiting in lines… I hate lines.
Our: When was the last time you went to a nightclub?
Name bearer: I don’t know. I remember my college days were in Boston, but that’s about it. I spent a lot of time cleaning nightclubs in Boston.
Our: What task or task do you keep putting off or procrastinating on?
Name bearer: I don’t know. I’m pretty diligent about my errands now (but) I think Amazon’s returns are a bit annoying.
Our: What is your favorite song to sing in the shower and why?
Name bearer: Well, I have some Greek songs. I really like to sing in the shower (but) I’m starting to realize that I haven’t been singing shower a lot because I’m with Keven so we talk.
Our: What was the last meal you made for yourself or your family?
Name bearer: I bought cauliflower crust and made my own great pizza. So (for) my super pizza, you use Rao’s sauce, you get chopped garlic, you get fresh oregano, you get grated parmesan (and put it in there). Add a little salt and then add fresh mozzarella – sliced – and top with some other mozzarella. Put some oregano on top (and) in the oven.
Our: What celebrity news are you kind of obsessed with right now?
Name bearer: I could care less about celebrity news. i’m sorry I never really cared in the first place. I was supposed to be a sportscaster. I just fell into it. It just happened. I love everyone, but I don’t really care what everyone does necessarily, except if it’s something I want to see. I’m happy for everyone to do their own thing, but I’m not actively looking for what everyone else is doing. That’s not me. … Finding how to improve, how to survive, how to give less Fs, how to heal – that’s my energy zone.
Our: What time do you get up and go to bed each night?
Name bearer: I try to go to sleep at sunset, which is hard right now on the east coast. It’s very early, but I want to go to bed now. And then I wake up with the sunrise, non-negotiable every day.
Our: What are you thankful for?
Name bearer: I am thankful for my family every day. Thank you, God, for my family. Thank you for my beautiful, happy, healthy daughter of Athena. Thank you for my health and healing. Thank you for allowing and sparing me to be here every day to be with my baby. Thank you for the abundance of opportunities and great people and just great things in my life.
Our: What is your New Year’s resolution?
Name bearer: I can never watch these things. I have to think about that this year. I need some time.
