The company that operates the medical ambulance plane that crashed Friday night in Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaWhile carrying a pediatric patient, another plane was operating in a fatal accident that occurred more than a year ago.
On Friday, Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, the company that operates the airplanes in both incidents, said a Learjet 55 crashed while leaving the Northeast of Philadelphia airport around 6:30 pm, the incident occurred in a street near Roosevelt Mall.
Four crew members and two passengers, a pediatric patient and his mother, were on the plane in the Philadelphia accident that was heading to Springfield-Benson National Airport in Missouri, the company said. They were all Mexican citizens.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the number of members and passengers of the crew. The crew members included a pilot, a co -pilot, a doctor and a paramedic.

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance operated a Learjet 35a in November 2023 that was involved in a fatal accident in southern Mexico.
In that incident, the plane crashed into landing in Cuernavaca Airport In Morelos, Mexico, on November 1, 2023, after starting from Toluca International Airport in the city of Toluca. There were five crew members without passengers on board and without survivors, the Airmed & Rescue website reported at that time.
Jet Rescue Air Ambulance said names will not be published in the Philadelphia accident on Friday until family members have been notified.
“Our immediate concern is for the patient’s family, our staff, their families and other victims who may have been injured in the field,” the company said in a statement.

The plane was Programmed to fly From Philadelphia to Tijuana International Airport, with a technical stop in Springfield, Missouri, for fuel, he told Fox News, spokesman for the air ambulance, Shai Gold.
The patient was in the US for a medical treatment to save lives and was released to go home after treatment. FAA confirmed that the plane was heading to Missouri at the time of the accident.
“The plane was loaded with aircraft fuel that is highly flammable,” Gold said. “There are no indications that someone survived, and through the field of rubble, I would be pleasantly surprised to learn otherwise.”
The mayor of Philadelphia, Cherelle Parker, said at a press conference on Friday night that he could not confirm the number of deaths.
A senior fire officer from Philadelphia told Fox News that the fires caused by the accident are “now under control.” The official said that when the plane fell, he sprayed the fuel for airplanes, soaking the houses of nearby rows, which caught fire.
