Former presidential candidate Vivek Ramasswamy is calling the national security risk of having a China dependent generation as the US. Students are left behind in the classroom.
“75% of eighth grade students are not competent in mathematics according to international standards,” Ramasswamy told “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday. “We are the number 26 of the 38 developed countries. There are children in other countries where English is not even their first language, surpassing our own students about the domain of English and I think, speaking as American and as a father myself. That is unacceptable. ”
According to recent studies, reading comprehension scores are reaching historical minimums in the US, with only 31% of fourth grade students who read at the level of degree, according to the national evaluation of educational progress. Now, President Donald Trump is trying to change these statistics by supporting the election of the school and getting rid of CRT and gender ideology in the classroom.

The former presidential candidate told Fox News that states must lead the way to improve education by allowing payment based on merit for teachers, giving families the choice of school and encouraging students in US virtue .
“Illuminate a heat under the feet of our educational culture, not teach our children to be victims, but to be victors, reward excellence instead of the victim. I think it is a cultural change that we need in our educational system, and if We do not give ourselves “T arrangement, China is going to eat our lunch if they are no longer,” he said.
Ramasswamy explained the importance of returning to a “true American system” of education, with less trophies of participation and competition in several Academic fields.

“This is a risk of national security for the future of the United States if we have a complete generation that depends on China,” he said. “It is unacceptable and yes, the left of the awakening is responsible for much of this … but goes beyond that where we get to turn on that heat under the feet of a generation and teach them that it is really worth working.”
“Hard work is an American virtue, and that does not start at the university,” he continued. “It does not even begin in high school. It begins young and, therefore, President Trump is leading the way with that culture, but will lead us to really raise us.”
