Justin Baldonisaid crisis management team Taylor Swift in their alleged plan to shoot down Blake Lively.
Lively, 37, filed a trial for sexual harassment against Baldoni, 40, on Friday, Dec. 20, and her allegations against him, including creating a “hostile work environment” and causing the actress “serious emotional distress.”
Exhibits attached to the complaint showed that a crisis management expert working for Baldoni wrote in an Aug. 6 email: “We have seen the most dangerous problems become gigantic because of social media or that the biggest crises have no impact on society. You just can’t tell at this stage. But BL has the same fan base as TS, so we’ll take it extremely seriously.”
A separate “scenario planning” document from Baldoni also states, “our team may also explore stories about weaponizing feminism and how people like Taylor Swift have been accused of using these tactics to ‘bully’ to get what they want.” ( Lily and Swift, 35, have been close for a long time and have documented their friendship over the years.)
My Weekly asked Lively’s representative for comment. Our also reached out to a Swift representative for comment.
Baldoni also appears to have used the post on social media Hailey Bieber as an example in an astroturfing plan against Lively. The text exchanges were reviewed in a legal complaint received by the user Our on Saturday, December 21, Baldoni revealed that he had posted a screenshot of an X thread that unpacked Hailey Bieber’s “history of bullying women,” in which he wrote, “This is what we need.”
Lively’s December complaint said “millions of people (including many reporters and influencers) who saw these planted stories, social media posts and other online content” were “unwitting consumers of a crisis PR, astroturfing and digital retaliation campaign” allegedly orchestrated . by Baldoni against Lively.
Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni on Friday, who claimed a meeting was held during production It ends with us in January 2024 to address Lively’s claims against her colleague. According to the lawsuit, Lively’s demands included “no more showing nude videos or pictures of women to Blake, no mention of Baldoni’s alleged prior ‘pornography addiction’ no more discussions of sexual exploits in front of Blake and others, no more mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more questions about Blake’s weight, and no more mention of Blake’s dead father.”
Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman addressed Lively’s “completely false, outrageous and deliberately disgraceful” allegations in a statement Our. He claimed that Lively filed the lawsuit to “correct her negative reputation” and “retell the story” about the film’s production.
He further alleged that the actress made “several demands and threats” during the shoot, including “threats not to show up for the shoot, threats not to promote the film, which ultimately led to its demise during the launch if her demands were not met.”
In the statement to The New York Times in December, Lively said, “I hope my legal action will help pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics that hurt people who speak up about bad behavior and help protect others who may be targeted.”
The actress denied spreading negative information about Baldoni.
