Jenni Hermoso has told the trial of former Spanish soccer chief Luis Rubiales that the kiss he gave in the 2023 World Cup “stained one of the happiest days of my life.”
Rubiales, the former president of the Football Federation of Spain, went to trial in Madrid on Monday for the kiss, accused of sexual aggression and coercion.
Like the first witness of the trial, beautiful said: “My boss was kissing me, and this should not happen in any social or work environment.”
Rubiales caused a great controversy when he kissed the athlete on his lips while the players received their World Cup medals in Australia, causing protests and demand their resignation.
Beautiful told the court that he had never given permission to be kissed.
“I didn’t hear or understand anything,” he said.
“The next thing he did was grab me by the ears and kiss my mouth.”
She continued: “A kiss on the lips only occurs when I decide.”
Prosecutors are asking for Rubiales, 47, who receives a one -year prison sentence for sexual assault.
They are also asking that they give him a sentence of a year and a half for coercion, for allegedly trying to press Hermos to say publicly that the kiss was consensual.
Rubiales denies the charges.
At that time, Rubiales said the kiss had been agreed and denounced a so -called witch hunt for “false feminism”, before giving up his position.
Three of his former colleagues are also in trial accused of forcing beautiful to say that the kiss was consensual.
Jorge Vilda, coach of the World Cup winning team, Rubén Rivera, the former Marketing Chief of the Federation and former sports director, Albert Luque, denies the positions.
The trial extends until February 19.
