There are many meters and step meters around the world, but this new application has a fun twist. Walkingthis Started Tuesday in the App StoreIncrease your workout by synchronizing your melodies with your action. The moment you’re breaking, the music is moving away by making a perfect motivator for those who look like an active lifestyle.
When it starts to walk or run for at least 10 seconds, begins to play music. If the application reveals you moving, the music will also stop. Will continue to play after you start moving again.
The application was created by Greg Gardner previously developed LaunchApp launcher Vidjet that allows iPhone users to launch an application, perform an action or get a website with a tap.
Gardner reported the old Sony Walkman for Walkstar after observing the online uniting of someone connecting with a pedometer. This allowed the device to play music only when the user walks. (Unfortunately, we could not find the original post.)
“I thought it could be a really nice encouraging tool to be able to be carried out with an iPhone application that is really smart and the same,” Gardner said.
Walkstar’s particularly entertaining aspect is a retro style interface that converts your phone to a colorful portable cassette player reminiscent of an old school trip. A nostalgia touch is added with sound tapes playing when the music starts.
Other neat features include Game Center integration to see leader boards and achievements. There is also an integration of shortcuts to start and stop walking sessions and stop walking sessions between the number and distance to watch the number and distance.
The application is possible to download free, but if you want to make the app with colorful application signs and cassette tape covers, there is also a reward subscription. In addition, members of the award can view analysts, including the general step number and walking date.
In the future, Gardner plans to provide more features that allow people to share progress and compete with friends. If the application is gaining enough popularity, you can develop an Android version.
It is important to note that WalkStar is currently compatible with Apple services, including apple music, apple podcasts, apple books and iTunes. Users can listen to music with Apple music application.
Gardner explores the ability to add more music-streaming integration, Spotify is the first target. A test version that reflects Spotify is currently being reviewed in the App Store.
“Hopefully, it is confirmed in the next few months,” Gardner said.
