Dan Da Dan’s Season 2 First Look Is More Advanced Than Fun

The first (and pretty good) season Dan Da Dan it ended a few days ago, and Elm Sar didn’t take long announces its second season was in production. That’s good news, but great news? Jump Festa offered a first look at what’s in store for Momo, Okarun, and the rest of their buds.

The last we saw of the show was in the early episodes of the “Cursed House” arc, which saw the duo go on a journey with Momo’s childhood friend Jiji to exorcise an evil spirit from her home. While waiting for him to appear, it turns out that they may have misjudged the situation: Jiji and Okarun find a secret room in the house full of talismans, while Momo is attacked by a group of male villagers. The kids may have Granny Turbo with them, but they may be in a bit more danger than previous threats like aliens and Acro-Silky. and that’s not even touching on the ominous taunting of the “Avatar of Hate” with his desire to destroy humanity and his special interest in young Jiji.

Dan Da Dan has always been a mixture of comedy and supernatural horror, and this trailer leans more towards the latter. You know how some TV or movie writers sometimes call their sequel darker than the original? It kind of is; Where the trailers for season one tell you that you’re in for a good time, this one wants you to fear for the gang who figure out what’s going on and try to complete their mission. The brief glimpses of the arc’s big bad, the Avatar of Hate, seem more terrifying than Turbo Granny’s possession, and it looks like things are about to escalate in some pretty big ways.

Why does the Avatar want to destroy humanity and what does Jiji have to do with these plans? When will we find out? Dan Da Dan It returns to Netflix and Crunchyroll in July 2025.
