Denzel Washington He is fighting with his speech after suffering a horrible injury.
During an appearance on Saturday at the New York Times’ Podcast “The Interview”The 70 -year -old actor revealed that he is recovering after severely damaging a crucial body organ.

Washington explained that his health problem has led to complications while preparing for his starting role in the next Broadway revival of William Shakespeare’s iconic work “Othello”, who is also starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

While reflecting on whether his work as an actor helps people, Washington explained that he is only looking for validation of a higher power.

“At this point, all I am doing is through the lens of what God thinks, not what they think,” he said. “I don’t know what they think,” he said.
“You go down that hole, you will never leave that,” Washington added. “When people say: ‘What do you want people to get from this movie?’ or ‘What do you want them to get from this work?’ I always say: ‘It depends on what they bring.’
“And Kenny (Leon), the brilliant director, is putting it in what he calls the near future. So all those things, jealousy, envy, assumes something completely new with the information age.”

Washington also expressed his belief that Gyllenhaal would be “brilliant” in the role of Othello Iago’s nemesis.
“It’s crazy. I love him,” the Winner of the Tony Award Gyllenhaal said. “It’s complicated. But it already has a handle.”
