Following its distribution from Sunset for sale star Bre You knew in March 2019, Johnny Manziel found love again with Josie Canseco.
In April 2024, Manziel and Canseco sparked romance rumors when she shared a photo of her feet resting on the legs of a mystery man on a plane. Although his face was not visible in the shot, fans noticed Manziel’s recognizable arm tattoo in the image.
Later that month, the couple confirmed their romance as they took to their respective Instagram stories to share photos of the pair in a tight embrace at Stagecoach in Indio, California.
Less than three months later, Canseco couldn’t help himself about her relationship with Manziel.
“I like to make fun of him from time to time because he gets me princesses and he takes such good care of me,” she said. After sparking romance rumors, Manziel and Canseco confirmed their relationship when they shared photos via Instagram Stories of themselves enjoying a tight hug at Stagecoach.

Canseco couldn’t help but yell at her “sweet Texas boy.”
“He’s close with his family and his mother and sister and her young children,” she said Our. “I recently went to Texas to meet them. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and seeing that he had such a wonderful family made me feel so comfortable.”
She noted that Manziel “takes such good care of her.”
“I couldn’t have wished for anything better right now,” she added.
As for why she wants to keep her relationship off social media, Canseco explained that she likes to “take control of the narrative if possible.”
“I also think there’s a lot of beauty in my relationship staying personal and between us,” she said Our. “I have nothing to hide, but at the same time I think it will be healthy for us to grow together and become the people we want to be if it’s not all out in the open.”

Canseco called her connection with Manziel “easy and organic” before referring to the former footballer as her “best friend”.
“We have the same sense of humor, we have the same values, and he’s changing and growing into such an incredible young man that I’m really happy to be with him,” she gushed. In a since-deleted Instagram story video posted by Canseco to celebrate Manziel’s 32nd birthday, the couple was seen sitting together in a bathtub, seemingly naked, as Manziel washed his girlfriend’s hair.
“Love like you,” Canseco captioned the video. “My best friend and mine forever. I am so proud of the man you have grown into. You are the kindest heart I have ever met. How lucky I was ++ happy birthday my baby @imanziel2.”
