Jaime Munguia and Bruno Surace will meet in a rematch in Super Middleweight as the main support fight on May 3 in Canelo Alvarez vs. cardboard. William Scull in Riad. Saudi Arabia.
Salvador Rodríguez information That Munguia (44-2, 35 kos) will fight against Sureace undefeated (26-0-2, 5 kos) after being knocked out by him in six rounds last year on December 14 in Tijuana, Mexico.
It is a foolish movement of Munguia, 28, to take the rematch immediately without being tied to his credit to help put some distance between what the Frenchman Bruno Sureace did two months ago. That has to be a disturbing experience for Munguia. If there are still remains of that knockout, Jaime will not last long before he looks out again.
This guy is wrong for Munguia, who has too many miles in his odometer from a long career to take the type of shots with which the youngest and most fresh surace will hit him. The 46 fights Munguia has had in his career has taken it a lot. We saw that not only against Surace but also in Munguia’s struggles against Canelo, Erik Bazhinyan, Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Gary O’Sullivan.
Sureace, 26, entered the fight last December because he was not reputed to be a hitter, but could be seen in the second round that was lethal with his right hand similar to the Cobra. Munguia had dropped it into that round.
As soon as the action delayed, Surace stuck Munguia with a right hand that launched quickly, and it was a surprise that the Mexican fighter stood. Surace continued hitting Munguia with that same shot in rounds 3, 4 and 5 until he knocked him out in the sixth.
If Munguia is knocked out again by Surace, he needs to think about retiring because he will only get worse for him. Returning to 160 could be an option for Munguia to rescue her career, but even in that kind of weight, there are some murderers, such as Janibek Alimkhanuly and Hamzah Sheeraz, who will end what Surace began.
Munguia seems shot at this point in his career. The point was never good, to begin with, and more a protected hype job, some beliefs created only to obtain a great cash against Canelo. Now that it has fulfilled its destination, it is a worn peel, like a spider that puts eggs and dies.
