The Angels paid the best dollar for Rendon at the top of their career before the 2020 season, just over a month after important role in the Washington nationals‘First World Series series that year.

Rendon has not been able to play 60 games in a season since he joined the halos, averaging 51 games played in that period. With the nationals, he owned an OPS of .859 and was in MVP tickets in five separated seasons.
