€ 5 million seized cocaine, two arrested men

Two men have been arrested after an seizure of € 5 million (£ 4 million) of cocaine in Issite County.

On Wednesday, Gardaí (Irish police) stopped and registered a vehicle and a residential property in the Allenwood Killer area and approximately 72 kg of cocaine were discovered.

The men, of the 50s and 60s, were arrested in relation to the facilitation and improvement of drug distribution activities for a group of organized crimes.

Subsequently they were accused and presented before the Naas district court on Thursday.

The assistant commissioner Angela Willis of organized and serious crimes said that “it is another significant convulsion of cocaine for the Irish market.”

“A Siocána Swine and our law members are committed to attacking those who participate in organized crime related to drugs that lead to damage, intimidation and violence in our communities throughout the country.”
