Will Whittaker drown again? Cameron II Ready for April 20

Ben Whittaker of semi-weighing weight (8-0-1, 5 kos) faces veteran Liam Cameron (23-6-1, Kos) in a revenge in two months from April 20 at the World Arena resorts in Birmingham, England.

It is not clear why the two are even bothering a rematch because Whittaker, 27, showed that he wanted to get out of his previous fight when he grabbed Cameron, causing the two out of the ring in the sixth round. Whittaker said he had hurt his ankle and leg during autumn, but fans suspected that he had faked him and just wanted to get out of the fight.

FLOP WATCH

The fight showed that the 2020 Olympic silver Whitker cannot handle pressure and hard shots. It was the same as we saw him in his defeat against Arlen López de Cuba. When Cuban talent attacked hard, Whittaker melted as butter. What we saw in Cameron’s fight was identical to the Olympic confrontation with López. Whittaker became pieces when Cameron began walking through Cameron, who ignored the trash showBoating movements by the Larguirucho fighter and similar to the stork and hit him strongly towards the head and body.

Outside the ring, Whittaker speaks a great game, but He was pure jelly against Arlen López and Liam Cameron. He seemed scared in both fights. Among the rounds, you could see that Whittaker was desperate for help, looking at his corner to get instructions to rescue him in those fights. There was nothing that his coach could do apart from barking instructions that Whittaker did not follow.

It’s worth it?

Whittaker promoter is making an error when choosing to take the rematch with Cameron because this guy is wrong. He has the wrong style, hits too much and has hardness on him that Whittaker cannot handle. If Whittaker promoters are looking at this fight as a decisive if he keeps it or throwing it as useless luggage, the rematch makes sense. It is a good test to decide if it is worth following Whittaker.

If I were Whittaker promoter, I would have left him immediately after Cameron’s fight. I would have seen everything I needed of that clash and its collapse against Arlen López in the Olympic Games to know that it is a waste of time. It is not built to handle pressure and pain.
